Spring Partnership Meeting
STRANGERS IN A FOREIGN LAND
Wednesday 5 February 2020, 10am-1pm, followed by lunch
All Saints Church, High Street, Lindfield, RH16 2HS
At our Partnership Meeting Phil Moon, Vicar of Bishop Hannington Church in Hove, will bring us an exposition from 1 Peter. In our second session, Joe Clease will address the important topic for our day of ‘Christian engagement with diversity and inclusion in the workplace’. Many of the conflict points for Christians in the secular workplace arise from equality legislation and workplace diversity and inclusion policies. But these policies and the inclusion culture also provide an opportunity for Christians to speak to employers about workplace faith and belief inclusion. Joe Clease is a member of Christians in Government UK which is a non-denominational faith network for Christians in government departments across the UK, the recognised umbrella body representing Christians working in the civil service. He has been developing training resources relating to diversity and inclusion for Christians and for use in the workplace. He will help us understand the issues and give us guidance that will help us equip and support our church members as they engage with these issues in the contemporary workplace.
Please book your place(s) using the fields below, by Wednesday 29 January.
Cost: £5, with or without lunch
