When the Bible is taught, the Spirit of God uses the Word of God to save the lost and build up the church. That is why training and equipping people to ‘rightly handle the word of truth’ is essential to the health and growth of today’s church. In a great variety of contexts, not only from the pulpit, but in Sunday school, youth group and home group, one to one, in homes and in public we need people who can confidently teach God’s Word.

For this reason the SGP offers three 1-2 year training courses.

Sussex Coast Ministry Training Course

South Downs Ministry Training Course

These two daytime courses both run during the week for 3 terms of 10 weeks each. The Sussex Coast course is held onTuesdays at All Souls Church in Eastbourne. The South Downs Course is held on Thursdays at Bishop Hannington Church in Hove.

Saturday Morning Bible Training Course

This new course, starting in September 2010, will include the core elements of the established and successful Sussex Coast and South Downs Ministry Training Courses which run during the week. SMBTC is a two year course meeting monthly on Saturday mornings from September to July each year and is based at All Saints Church in Lindfield, near Haywards Heath. The sessions run from 9.30am to 1pm.
